What happens in a session?

Each session is generally tailored to you, the client, and your needs and goals. I will not be telling you what to do, but instead I will encourage you to talk about what's bothering you in order to uncover any root causes and identify your specific ways of thinking. We would look to create a plan of action together to either help you reconcile your issues, or help you to find ways of coping.

My approach...

When it comes to counselling there are a range of different approaches or therapies that can be used, and as an integrative counsellor, I do just that, favouring Person Centred, Creativity and Gestalt modes.

But at the very core of what I would do with you would be to ensure I was non-judgmental, engage in a deep, attentive listening without presuppositions and to establish a supportive, trusting and cooperative relationship.

You are at the very centre of the process and the most important person in it!
